Under the P3-DBFO contract FTG is the Concessionaire for the South Fraser Perimeter Road (Highway 17). FTG is an internationally led company that combines the strength, innovation and experience of local and international construction firms. FTG’s equity partners and investors include Régime de rentes du Mouvement Desjardins; Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure and ACS Infrastructure Canada Inc.
The design build contractors employed by FTG to complete the “construction phase” of the P3-DBFO contract were Dragados Canada Inc., Ledcor CMI Ltd., Belpacific Excavating and Shoring Limited Partnership and Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. The design of the road commenced in May 2010 and construction was completed in December 2013, with the road opening to traffic six months ahead of schedule. Now that the design and construction is completed the road is considered to be in the “operating phase”.
FTG has employed Mainroad Fraser Maintenance Ltd to provide operations and maintenance services for the SFPR until the end of the Concession in June 2034. For more information about Mainroad please click the link below.
